Arundel Gun Club.

k live pigeon match tn connection with the above Club was held on Boxing Day, and was very successful. The weather was all that could be desired. The birds, unfortunately, were very bad. and did not rise well, some of them being in very low condition, which, no doubt, accounted for some of the good scores made. There were eighteen competitors, nine birds each, first prize £10 and a gold medal valued at £5 ss, second £5, third .£3. Mr E. E. Tasker officiated as referee, and carried out his dubies to the satisfaction of everybody. Mr P. Johnson acted as trapper, and also gave satisfaction. Two boys, Robert and James Patiiok, were kept busy filling the traps and gathering the dead birds. Following are the scores :— J. Doyle 22-6 W. S. Stevens 22-7, S. JVIcGeo 23-8, H. N Eiby, 23-9, W. King 23-8, T. Jones 24 8, E Taylor 21-9, J. Heney 24-9, W. Clements 24-6 D. Fraser 24-7, W. Booth 24-8, J. Reese 24-5, W. N. Jones 24.5, W. Walker S4-5 " Manton " 25-9, E. J. Smith 25-9, A. L Eiby 26-7, E. E. Tasker 26-8. Messrs Eiby, Taylor, Smith, and "Manton" agreed to divide the stakes and fire for the medal. Some good shooting was done in firing off. "Manton" feillfid 1, Taylor 10, Eiby 15 and Smith 13, Mr Taylor thus winning the medal. The win was very popular. Mr Taylor being a thorough sportsman. Cheers were given for the winner, the referee, and tho trapper. A sweepstake match, 10s, 9 birds, inanimate, waa then fired off. There were It entries. The following are the top scores: -J. Eoese 9-8, « Manton" 16-8, D;. Fraser 10 8, W. Booth 14-3, tied and divided the money.
