The Addington market was of a holiday character, both entries and attendance being small. The entries comprised 4312 sheep, 252 cattle, and 153 pigs. Fat cattle — Eighty-eight head were yarded. The demmd was very languid, and the sale was very irregular, at an average iange of prices considerably lower than has been recently current, a large proportion being withdrawn, Prime beef sold at the rate of 22s 6d per ]00lbs, and cows and secondary 19s to 20s per 100lb3. Per head, steers made £7 to 4JB 17s 6d, heifers .£5 12s 6d to £1 12s 6d, cows -£5 to £f> 17s 6d. Iv fat calves the entry waa or good quality, and price 3 ranged from 14s to 40s. Store cattle—The entry wa3 small, and there was no change in value. Sales wore made at the following pieces:—Yearlings 26a. 15 to 18-months 393 fid to *3s, 2-year-old h-ifers £'i 103 to £4 3s 6d, 3-year old steers passed at £6 6a, dry cows 30a to £4. Dairy cows—There was a small entry, and business was unimportant.

Fat sheep—Business was extremely dull, and the small entry was not fully cleared at the lower prices which were current. Wethers were easier, while ordinary ewes suffered a further decline of Is to 2b. Prime wothers sold at 2ls to 22s 6d, others from 18s, prime ewes 18s to 193 lid; and aged from 16s. Fat sheep—The yarding was small, and only good quality was in demand. Eat I ambs—The supply was small, but included a good proportion of prime quality.
