The criminal sittings of the Supreme Court began this morning before Judge Williams. Henry Aithur Gibson, aged lfi, who had pleaded guilty in the Court be'ow to a charge of breaking and entering McKinlay's boot factory at Hillside, was admitted to probation for a year and ordered to pay during the first twentythree weeks one shilling a week towards the cost of the prosecution. The trial of Robert Benjamin Whitton for sheep stealing at Strath-Tai^r; is proceeding.
