British Naval Estimates.
THE ADMIRALTY PROGRAMME
(Received Feb. 26, 7.25 a.m.) , London, Feb. 25. The Admiralty Estimates amount to £36,899,000. The new shipbuilding programme provides for the construction of two battleships of a new design, of the Lord Nelson class, four armoured cruisers, fourteen destroyers, ten submarines, and four thousand additional personnel. If the Chilian battleships had not been purchased, three battleships would have been commenced. It is understood the displacement of the new type of British battlnshipa will be eighteen thousand tons, i and they will cost .£1,003,000. They will be built by contract. Tt is intended to greatly strengthen the Home fleet.
