An Extra Half-Penny per lb for your Wool. From MR STEWART DUKE, Queenstown, Otago. December 13th, 1902, i(T SHOULD like to inform you of the results of my last dipping:. The wool JL from that half of my flock which I dippod m " COOPER " realised a half-penny per lb more than the other half of the clip—though all the sheep were run on the same country. This is a fact, and I leave it to speak for itself. It is the more remarkable when I tell you that the Cooper-dipped half-not being shorn till after the other sheeppicked up a lot of bidibidi (burr) which my other sheep escaped, and I therefore really expected to get less for the Cooper-dipped wool. I always use the Dip strictly according to directions^and am especially particular m keeping the bath well stirred, so that each and every sheep takes away its proper share of the stuff, which I find remains m the wool till the next shearing, thus doing all the good. If the bath is not kept stirred all this falls to the bottom and becomes wasted sediment. I also mix the powder the day before I put it m the bath. lam going to use Cooper on all my sheep this yenr. I should add that both lots of the above clip were sold m London at the same time. The half not dipped m Cooper brought 9d per lb; all the Cooper-dipped parcels realising 9H per lb." COMMENTS- ' „ . . .. By the expenditure of less than a half-penny per sheep more than fourpence is thus gained by using Cooper, m improving the wool "atone, and this is m addition to its usefulness m destroying sheep pests. . Every Sheepowner who similarly uses "Cooper" will enjoy similarly profitable results; for the innumerable analyses which have been made of this well-tried prepara. tion have never m one single instance shown the least appreciable difference m strength or quality. Its mode of manufacture renders the slightest variation absolutely impossible. Therefore, results varying from those obtained by Mr Duke can be caused only by the varying circumstances attending the dipping of sheep. Friedlander Bros., Ltd., Agents.
