The Christchurch Meat Company, Ltd., will hold their annual general meeting of shareholders at the Company's office, Christchurch, on Friday, February 13th, 1903. The Canterbury Farmers' Association will offer by auction at Tattersall's, Timaru, on Saturday next, Mr A. H. Roberts' property known as " Waioneka," situated within two miles of Studholme Junction, and consisting of 264 acres with buildings thereon. Messrs Macdonald, Wilson, and Co., auctioneers, Wellington, announce m our advertising columns that they will hold an important sale at "The Camp," Lower Hutt, near Wellington, on Thuvsday, 12th February, when sixty Clydesdale mares and ■ geldings, the Clydesdale stallion, " Federation," 22 tip drays, traction road engine with crane attachment., by AveKng and Porter, also a large quantity of shaft and leading harness, horse covers and sundries will be offered. The sale is to be held on account of Mr J, T. Jones, the contractor for the Hutt river embankment, wk o has finished his contract and has no further use for the horses and plant. The sale is one of the most important of its kind Jbhat has ever been held m the North Island and the horses are described as a grand lot. .
