For sometime the narrative of the §«*ngal»ary straggle will create a thrfll ot patriotic pride and exiltatf on. Hew Zsafand is not a member of the Commonwealth, hut the blood her sons lire shedding in South Africa Is mingled wi»h that which has freely flowed ia the relna of oar own volanteew, and has bound her more closely to Australia, as well as the Mothor land.. The New Zealand era have behaved with euperb valour, and the Incident will stand prominently in history. The campaign lias bsen marked with innumerable deeds of heroism.
