TROOPER THOMPSON
A great gathering of the Highbank people mustered in the schoolroom on Friday evening, In order to welcome Trooper I X Thompson, eon of Mr John Thompson, of Highbank. Trooper Home, of Methven, was amongst those present, A very afatrao* tive musical programme was gone through, which was much appreciated. During tbe evonlng Trooper Thompson was presented with a medal, bearing a suitable inscription, the gift of the residents of Highbank, and also with a silver mounted pipe, a special present from the young men of the district
