We have been requested to mention that Madame Belle Cole and Mr Prooie will probably give the people of Ashbnr* ton an opportunity of hearlag the famous contralto on Friday next. Madame Belle Cole and Mr Prouse passed through Ashburten last evening by the Express and appear in Chrietchurch lor » short season. We notice that the Timartt papers are enthusiastic in their references to the recital given on 16th lost in that town, one report stating thafc "the audience were simply enraptured with Madame'a singling" The Post e»yg:— Bab perhaps the most striking of the revelations of the evening was whea Madame sang 'Cows are in the Corn/ the fervent outburst of applause which resounded through the building ss the final cadence of the reveberating echo died away being sufficieafc to carry all away with admiration and wonder.
