Horticwmjubal Sooiety—A meeting of the Committee of thin Sooiety was held on Tuesday evening. Present—Messrs H. 0Shrimpton, in the ohair, R. Leohner, G. F. Dodds, T. M. Morrisey, H. Craighead and the secretary, Mrs E M, Dodds. The secretary presented a rough balance sheet of the recenb show. It indicated a substantial credit balance. The prize money was passed for payment and will be handed out; by the treasurer on Friday at) the Ashburton Drapery Company's office. The moat successful exhibitors at the show were;—Mr H.B. Drummond's prip of 10* 6d for open class, ; pot plants—T. Pitt. Mr E. Stephens's prize of 10s 6d for amateur class, pot plants—G* F. ! Dodds. Ashburton Club's prizi, of 10* 6d ] for open class, cub blooms—T. Pitb. Mr T. Bullock's priza of 10* 6d for amateur clans, cut blooms—H. Craighead. Open class, fruit), (cash 10s 6d) given by the Sooiety—T. Pitt. Amateur class, fruit, (cash 10s 6d), | given by the Society—E. Stephens.
