ASHBURTON STOCK MARKET.
At the Ashburton yarda to-day there was a yarding of about 10,000 sheep. There was a big yarding of cattle, but no sale whatever Butchers' sheep—Ewes sold from 9a 2d to 10* 31, wethers 12a 6d to 14s, lambs 7a 6d to 8j 10), merino ewes to 8a 65. There waa a Bbrong yarding of freezers, which brought from lls 9J to 12j 91. S 1 ore lambs brought 10a 6i to lls 3*l, crossbred ewes from 12s 61 to 13i lOd, twe-'ooth wethers 13s 7<l to 13a 81, halfbred ewes 14* to 15s 71. Cows brought from £3 loj to £5 lls, steers to £3 2* 61. The sale was a dragging one throughout.
