ENTERTAINMENT The Mutual improvement Association have had to unavoidably postpone their last ■ two fortnightly m- c ings owing to them- , clemency of the weather, but on last Tues 'ay evening the' c was a good attendance of members, when a gereral entertainment was the order ot the evening. In reflponee to the advertisement of last Week, about a doz^n young men met m the library to make the necessary arrangements for Easter sports. Mr G. H. Sewell was Voted to the ohair. Mr A. Reid then read th» minutes and balance sheet of lasb year, whioh were considered highly satisfactory, a ■obstantied balance being on hand to meet emergencies. It was decided to hold the sports on Easter Monday, April 3, and it was agreed to get the programme reMrronged for printing at next meeting. tFhomas Harrison, Esq., of Haokthorne, was •leoted president; 0 J. Harper, Esq., vicepresident ; and Mr A. Reid, secretary. It waa decided to plough and form a new track on the recreation grounds.
