Sydney, December 5 The Selection Committee at length dis« cussed the claims of Donnan, McLood, Lyons, A. McKenzie, and Noble, and eventually decided to include Lyons, and oboote .VlcLeod as twelfth man, and Donnan «■ thirteenth. George Giffen was included without his consent. Interviewed last night he said nothing had occurred to change his decision not to play. Subsequently he telegraphed to Gregory, that out of no disrespect for Australia and Englishmen, he declined to play. He wished them all luck. McLeod, there' fore, takes Giffen's place. Fisher, the JSew Zealander, in a letter to Iredale, says he is in good form, bit has been given no opportunity in the soratoh teams pitted against bim. Victoria it anxious for his show against men of the first rank, and has ooafidenoe in hie ability. It in understood that he will be given the desired opportunity before the seoond test match.
