The present certainties are considered to be Gregory, Iredale, Kelly, Mcrtibbin, Trotfc, Trumble, Hill, Darling and Jones. The selection of the tenth and eleventh man will be a ticklish one. Among those mentioned are' Donnon, MoKenzie, Noble, Lyons and McLeod. The English cricketers began a match against 22 of Tamworth to-day with the stipulation that only 13 men were to be in the geld. At 1 o'clock heavy rain set in, and at 3 o'clook the matting wicket was soddened. The English batted first. Ranjitsinghi was unable to play owing to an i attack of quinsy.
