additional subjects, Repetition and recitation—Pieces well known, rendering fair. Drill and exercises—Not professed. JSinging -Not professed. Needlework—None. Comprehension of reading lessons—Good.

Master (unassisted)—Ms Hugh A. Livingstone. General Remarks:—The examination' oi the school yields eminently satisfactory results. The subjects have been treated with a most commendable degree of thoroughness, and the appearance made by the children throughout, both in oral examination and in Eaper and slate work, leaves very little to c deeired. The geography is especially excellent, some of the pupils of the upper classes showing quite a remarkable amount of knowledge in the subject. Under tbe head of class subjects the answering in history, in geography (Standard 2), and in a £rogtamme of agricultural knowledge is also igbly creditable. W. J. Anuebson, Inspector.
