Wedding at Chertsey.

On Wednesday last the little church at Chertsey was the scene of a very pretty wedding, the occasion being the marriage of Miss Horsnell, only daughter of Mr H. Horsnell, iJhertsey, to Mr EL McDougall of the Railway Department, Chriafcchurch. The church was pretuly decorated by some of the lady friends of the bride, and blesb with a fine day the scene was a very pretty one. The K«?v. Mr Holland performed the ceremony, and ihere was a large company'of friends maiiy of whom could not gain admittance to the church. The bride looked charming m a pretty pink and grey shot material, trimmed with silver seqains, white hab with ostrich tips, and the usual sprays of orange blossoms. She afterwards wore a travelling dre*s t f blue diagonal cloth, and white sailor hat, Daring the ceremony she was attended by Miss McDougall and the Misßes Hornswall, her cousins, aa bridesmaido. Mr 1 Foster officiated ashes'; man. After the ceremony the large com piny including a large number of guests trom Ohristcharch repaired to Mr Horsnell's, where a marquee had been erected. Here a sumptuous breakfast was hid, and after full justice had been done to this part of the ceremony, the usual speeches took place. In the evening the happy pair, amid lots of boots and rice, departed by the express for Christchnrch. The festivities were renewed on the department of the express, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. Singing, dancing, and games of one kind and another whiled away the time. At supper time, Mr Todd, on behalf of the guests, thanked the host and hostess for their kind hospitality. The wedding presents were a splendid collection, and testified to the popularity of the bride and bridegroom;
