SILVER.
Washington, August 11. The Americans are taking advantage of the short supply of Bilver to force rates and compel the treasury to pay high pricw. Mr Carlisle, Secretary to the Treasury, has informed the silver caucus that the fight over the repeal of the Sherman Silver Act will begin almost immediately, and be limited to ten days.
