Wellington, August 10. ) The Counc'l m t at 2.30 p.m. ■ IVKE3T SESEKV£S. The Waste Lands Committee reported with references to Mr C. 0. Bo wen's motion that in their opinion the forest' reserves in Wellington and Otago provinces, which were sought to be alienated by the Government, should not bo withdrawn. After some discussiou the debate was adjourned in order to afford the Minister of Lands an opportuni'y to give evidence before the Waste LarkU Committee. BUM PASSKD. The Sale of Poisons Bill, the Arsenic and Cyanide of Potassium Bill, and the Timber Floating Bill, passed their final stages. PUBLIC DOMAIN BILL, The Public Domain Act Amendment Bill was put through Committee. The Council then adjourned.
