Chbibtchuboh, August 9. The rough weather experienced of late showed its effect* on the condition of the entry at Addington market. The attendance was good, but tho number yarded ia > all departments was small—between 7000 and 8000 sheep, 300 head of cattle, and about 200 pigs. Stori Shmp.—Under 3000 in the pens, the bulk of entry croatbred/breeding ewes and hotrgets. The sale/ except for best sorts, was anything but brisk, and a considerable portion did nob change hands. Some very good crossbred ewes, close to lambing, sold up to 18s 3d, secondary quality down to 11s. Hogget* met a poor demand, two and four-tooth wethers 15s 4d. Fat Sheep.—Under 6000, nearly half merinos, and the quality irregular. Good freezing weight* commanded rather more attention than of late. Other classes opened weak, but recovered towards the end of the sale. Crossbred wethers, prime, 17s 7d to 20s 6i ; a special line 22s to 25s ; secondary, 13s to 16s ; ewe*, 13s to 15s ; merino wethers, 8s 3d to 12a 6d ; extra lots, to 16s 6d; ewes, 9s to 12s 9d. Fat Cattxs—Ninety-nine head for* ward, consisting almost entirely of cow beef, which sold at from £6 to £810s pec head. Steers, from £9 to £9 15s; heifers, £6 to £8 10s. The sale was decidedly brisk, and beef may be quoted from 21s to 25s per lOOlbi. Store Cattui—Small entry and competition keen. Cow*, £2 10a to £6; eighteen months blasts, £3 10a to £3 12s 6d ; yearlings 20s to 465. Figs—The entry was the smallest for some time. Baconers were hi keen demand up to 49s 6d ; porkers, ISs to 31s; stores, 11s 9d to 16s 6d.
