COLUMBUS CELEBRATIONS.
Thirty-six British, German, French, Italian, and other warship 3 are assembled in the New York Harbour for to-day's review by the President in connection with the Columbus fetes. It is a brilliant scene. ' President Cleveland reviewed the world's warships, and the spectacle was an imrreise success. Tha line of vessels extended for tin «a miles and palm was awarded to the British fleet HAWAII. Washington, April 28. .* Mr Stevens, the United States Minister in Hawaii, has resigned, and M. JBlount, who was despatched as Commissionerduring the recent trouble, will probably succeed him.
