The monthly meeting of the Wakanui Road Board was held on Saturday December 3, at the Board's Office. Ashburton. Present — Messrs M. Bruce (Chairman), G. Coe< D. Johnston, G. W. Leadley and J. Quigley. ■» CORRESPONDENCE. From Mr C. W. Purnell, respecting the dedioaiion of the roads through the Fasrfleld Estate. —Received. From Mr A. M. Clark, Temuka, requesting thai a statement of the amount of rates standing against the Bank of New Zealand be forwarded to him for payment.—Attended to. From New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Christohurch. requesting that the demand for rates owing on. their property Bellevue.Estate, be passed on to Mr £. Gt. Restell, the lessee, for payment. —Attended to. From the Registrar, Canterbury College, Christchurch, asking to be informed what is the amount of the rates owing by Mrs M. Gibson, on reserve 739.—Replied re. qv:EK9KER*S BKEORT. The Overseer's report was read and adopted, MILL KO4P. It was v esolved that the reforming o,f part of this road be deferred until after harvest. NORTH TBKRACB ROAD. It was decided that Messrs Ooe and Johnston, as members of No 2 Ward, inspect th,e North Terrace Road, and take such action as may' be necessary to give a passage to the baaoh and to the mouth of the River Ashburton j and, if it can be done at a reasonable expensb, to endeavor to make arrangements for making outtings on thft line of road for this purpose. IJIJTTERICK ANH LHaDLEY's ROAD DRAIN The clearing of Bubterick ant| Leadley's road drain was allowed to he left over until next meeting.
