ASHBURTON—SATURDAY. (Before Messrs H. Friedlander and D. Williamson, J.P.'s.) Drunkenness —Frederick Snow was convicted for drunkenness and discharged. Larceny and False Pretences.—The same prisoner was convicted of the larceny of a bridle, value 30s, from Butler's i Family Hotel; also of one umbrella, the property of R. Alcorn ; and also of obtaining, by false pretences, three pairs of boots and one pair of slippers from Jean Moison. He was sentenced to two months' imprisonment with h^rd labour on each charge, or six months m all.
