POLITICAL.
(from our earliamkntary corrbs* ; poxdent). 1 Wellington, September 25. FAREWELL. Farewell. The noats are taking away the political warriors. Only a few linger m the city, and congregate m the lobbies. Generally speaking,- the results -of the session are satisfactory; It is not an event to be altogether regretted that the Council has thrown out one or two Bills, for it will give ah opportunity to the country to declare emphatically m favor of the measures, 'the action of the Government m .standing by the Land Bill has stamped them as consistent and faithful.. The occupants of the press gallery are vanishing too, the " whole round table" being formally dissolved at no.,n to-day. The intercourse has been pleasant, and the kindliest remembrances are borne away by each particular pressman cf his coadjutors. We have all Id acknowledge many courtesies and much efficiency on * the part of the two officers m charge of" the telegraph bureau m the buildings, Messrs Chisholm and Elser, and we have also to acknowledge the attention, oourtaey and efficiency of the officers and messengers of the- House,' and now if. only remains to say the last word to lhe reader—Farewell.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

Several members called attention to the urgent necessity that existed for the establishment of a Bureau of Agriculture m the colony, and impressed up«m the Minihtev for Lands the desirableness of taking some steps m that direction during the recess. The Hon. He was already -.loin,? his utmost to encourage the dairy industry and fruit culture, and.if he could fiud an e'xpcit for the latter industry he Mould be willing to appoint him.
