PEK PRKSS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, September 10. Among the passengers by the Richmond from Tahiti were the officers of the French war vessel Volage, which was lost in July last at the Paninolu group, en ruu'e for France, via Sydney. Mr Moss, the British Resident at Rara tonga, has visited the island of Mangaina and arranged for the election of a local Council, got passed a code of laws for the Natives and effected a settlement of compensation to Donald and TMenborough.
