THE DOCK LABORERS STRIKE
London, August 24
The strike among the dock laborers and stevedores is extending. The Peninsular and Oriental Company have arranged for their steamers to discharge cargoes at Antwerp and Southampton. It is expected that the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ruapehu, which has been detained owing to the strike of dock laborers, will sail on Tuesday.
