AN OUTRAGE

One of the most remarkable outrages that has ever taken plaoe at a Gharitable Institution, m Auckland, ooourred on Saturday at the home of the "Little Sisters of the Poor," m Shelly Beaoh Road, where a man named Michael Ryan, who had been one of the inmates, re-visited the Institution with a knife m bis hand. Tbe Sisters had to flee for tbeir liveß, when Ryan smashed about 50 panes of glass m the building, and did oon* siderable damage m ihe ohapel of jthe Home, He was eventually arrested brought before the R.M. and oommitted for trial.
