+ . Ohristohoroh, April 3. The market to-day presented a totally different, aspeot from last week's. All descriptions of stook wore very fully represented and the attendance was well up to that of recant sales. Fat Lambs. — There was a more notloeable falling off In the entry 'of lamha than m smy other class, and tho result was a fair sale for the few entered. Prices , remained firm at former quotations, | nothing akin to a rise being apparent, though for anything of superior class there was keen oompotltlon Store Sheep, — There was an Immense entry of store aheap, whioh occupied tbe whole of the foronoon In disposing of at the following quotations : — Merino ewes, In lines of from 200 to 400, from 2a 9 1 to 33 3d ; oroasbred ewes from 4s 6d to 8j ; half bred ewes, 5s lOd to6i; crossbred lambs, 4s 6d, 5s 61, and 6a 6d ; one line of very fine onmbreda f romjthe Peninsula nearly fat, whioh oonalsted of wethers and maiden ewes, as high as 9* 3d. Fat Shbrp'— Over 7000 were yarded and though ewe mutton was predominant there were some grand lines of sheep offered, whioh met with a fairly willlug market, especially where quality existed. For the best ewe mutton lfi per lb was obtainable. For merino and inferior sorts of orossbreds there was a considerable reduotlon on that prloe. Fat Cattle —The pens were full,** and though there was a fair proportion Bold the prioe was*: not considered as satisfactory as last week's. One splendid line of Immense bullocks whioh was withdrawn | from sale was afterwards sold privately at about 17s per lOOlbs. The ruling prloe by auotion was scarcely up to 16a., Store Cattle.— There was a fair entry and some fresh buyers instilled life Into the market, whioh has not lately been In a very bright j oonditlon. Some lines of I two and a half year old steers and heifers told at £3 15s and £3 5s respectively. These were, however, m very forward oonditlon, and will soon be fit for the bntoher. \ Pigs.— There were abont 230 yarded, , many of whioh were of extra good quality. ; Six months' > stores ranged from 24s to ; 35s eaob, . aooordfng to quality, the only [ .thing that was at all obeap being very ( 1 yonng ones.
