LONDON WOOL SALES.
At the wool auction* to day 7400 bales were offered. There was a large attendance of buyers and bidding was spirited. Prices were very firm on closing rates of February series. Best sorts were a half-penny dearer, merinos half-penny cheaper, crossbreds and other sorts firm. Ten ships with wool cargoes are now due. The number of tales available is 310,000.
