THE IRISH QUESTION
[SPECIAL TO I'RESS ASSOCIATION ] London, March 22. Speaking m the House of Commons, Mr Bulfour said that steps to restore order m Ireland must precede the introduction of a measure to effect the purchase of estates on a large scale, extending over one-eighth of Ireland.
Evictions on the Landsdowr.e Estate are proceeding quietly.
A Coroner's jury has returned a verdict of murder against the police for bayoneting rioters m the recent disturbances at Youghal. The jury added a rider to their verdict to the effect that the riot was caused by Mr Balfour's speech, which declared " the plan of campaign " answerable for disorder m the country. Great excitement has prevailed at Youghal since the arrest of Father Keller.
