WAKANUI ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly mooting of the Wabanqi Board Board was held at the Board’s office on Sa'urday. Present— Messrs M. B-uce (chairman), W. Lill, G. Cole, and J. Brown. CORRESPONDENCE. (H) From Mr p . Stewart with regard to culvert.—The Board under took to make provision" without inconvenience to the settlers.

THIS FENCE QCTESTIOV; Mr Lortre, on beha f of Mrs Gibson, waited on the Board and said that Mrs Gib-on was wi ling to take down the fence the Boird had given her notice t<remove. He said that Mra Gibson comp ained of Mr D Wilson's feces on the Sbipka Pass road being on the road and asked that the fences on both sides of the road be removed t■> the proper line. It was resolved to call tenders for next meeting for ploughing 20 miles of road, Gftsen feet wide each side, 2k inches, tc be ploughed with single-furrow plough.

The Surveyor’s repot t was read as follows (1) Gibson’s Road : After an inspection of this road hy the in mbera it was decided not to tike any actl-n with r-gard ti forming the full width or to interfere with the gullies crossing the r >*>d, but to make a drain alongside the roar* opposite Maxwell’s so as to drain the water i.do its natural outlet which was prevented by the formation, The w< rk was let for £3. (4) River road : We have com mnnioated with Messrs Brown and W.
