THE RECIDIVISTES.
INTENTION OF FRANCE.
[REUTER'S TELEGRAMS—COPYRIGHT.] Paris, September SO.
.The Budget Committee of the Chamber of Deputies have, in accordance with the views of the Government greatly reduced the credits for the transportation of recidivistes. The number of these have been limited to 300 a year, and the Committee recommend that they be sent to Cayenne instead of New Caledonia, as the latter settlement is already crowded and difficult to supervise.
