RAKAIA STOCK AND PRODUCE SALE.
Macpherson, Sampson and Co; report on the Rakaia stock and ptoduoe tala at the Rakaia yards on Thursday, September 30: Oar friends in Rakaia and neighbourhood mustered in somewhat formidable numbers to attend the sale, but with comparatively little Intent in speculating. The entry for the day was in advance of previous sales: There w*s a fair entry of horses, cattle, and sheep, but the reserves were so high that none changed hands Tonng pigs went oft at remarkable prices, according to present market value. Weaners, just from sow, 6s 6d ; do, farther forward, 7s; medium porkers, 10s ; sows, 17s 6J; potatoes, ss, 5a 9i, 6s 3d, 6s 9d. Poultry, hams, bacon, and sundries had reserves utterly too crushing, and In eonsaqueoce remained the properly of the original vendors.
