No one allowed to enter a horse unless a subscriber of half a guinea to the the funds ; should the prize be £2O or over, to subscribe one guinea. 2. All horses to be owned in the County three months prior to the. races. 3. Three to start or no race. 4 Any horse who breaks in the Trotting Race to be turned round before starting again. 5. No protest will be entertained unless £1 be deposited with the Secretary, which will be forfeited should the same, in the opinion of the Committee, prove frivolous. 6. No one allowed to train a horse on the course one week before the races, uiider penalty of being disqualified.

RULES. 1. Subscribers to the funds of 10s can enter for other 10s. 2. Nos. 1 and 4 open to the county ; Nos.' 2 and 3 confined to the district. 3. No horse permitted to compete for Nos. 2 and 3 that has won over £5 5s of public money. 4. All horses must be owned in the district three months prior to the races. 6. iAny horse breaking in the trotting match must pull up immediately and turn. 6. .Nominations close on 24th December, .acceptances 31st December, and handicaps will be published on 27th December. 7. No protest will be entertained unless 10 per cent, of first prize be deposited with the Secretary, which will be forfeited if. in the opinion of the Committee, it proves frivolous. 8. Entries for Nos. 2 and 3 to be made with the Secretary on or before 31st December ; any entries after that date, 10s extra. 9.
