MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under Wednesday, June 8. For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Continent of Europe, Point de dalle, India, the East, China, Japan, Aden, Mauritius, Natal, Cape of Good Hope, Suez, the Mediterranean Ports, and Australian Colonies, &c. , per express train (to with s.s. Te Anau at the Bluff), as' follows Ordinary letters, at 7 a-m, } books and newspapers at 6 a.m. ; registered letters at .5 p.m. on Tuesday 7th; money . orders' at 4 p.m. on Tuesday 7th. Bate fee letters may be posted in he travelling Post-office van attached to the express train on Wednesday, Tune Bth. O'" j Satubday, June ,18. For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continents of Europe aiid America, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c., per Wanaka, as follows Ordinary letters at 6.30 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 7 p.m. ; books and newspapers, at 6 p.m. ; money orders, at 3 p.m.; registered letters at 5 p.m. ; guard’s van, 8.30 p.m. train.
