(Per Reuter’s Agency.) Collision in the Channel. London, March 10. The barque Chaudiere, from Napier, which arrived off the coast on Monday, came into collision yesterday with the Euphrates as she was coming up the Channel. She suffered considerable damage, and shortly afterwards went ashore on the Goodwin sands. She has, however, since been tugged off and brought safely into dock. The Euphrates was but slightly injured. Monetary and Commercial. Consols, Adelaide and New Zealand breadstuffs are unchanged. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is Li 7,625,000. Five per cent. New Zealand 10-40 loan, 102)4. At the wool sales to-day, 7,000 bales were catalogued. There was a good demand.
