South Rakaia Road Board.
The South Rakaia Road Board held its . ordinary monthly meeting on Thursday. Present—Messrs C. N. Mackie (chairman), D. G. Holmes, and W. L. Allan, and,, later on, Mr E. S. Coster took his seat. RESOLUTION RESCINDED. Mr Allan moved the motion standing in his name—“ That the resolution passed by the Board, on November 4th, 1880, with reference to opening a road through native reserve No. 2058, and rural section 1833-1, be rescinded. After some discus-* / ' sion, the motion was seconded by Mr Holmes, and carried. WIND PUMP. It was resolved to employ some one to look after the water supply and keep the, . wind pump in order, at a salary of L 6 per annum. fencing.
