Hanara and I spoke of, on that April 1st 1850, when our discussion was settled. Hanara and Wiremu agreed to write down the two boundaries[?] - one for me and one for Wiremu. The statements in their letter to me were £9 for the area on which the houses stood; from Hanara £4.0.0, from Wiremu £8.0.0 [written underneath] 5.0.0. Their letter said to me that on the 10th of April 1851 I would get the payments, on the 10th of April, after you had gone to survey it, then I could go to Ahuriri to take the payments. The matter with Hanara was settled. But that of Wiremu was not, and he said to me that the decision is yours. I opposed Wiremu's right. From me, from Paora Torotoro
