HORRIBLE ATROCITIES

Tho Russian attacks on Tabriz and Resht commenced almost simultaneously.

Many Government officials and 20 police were killed" at Resht. Consular reports indicate that the attack on Resht was begun by the Russian Consul, who is now Governor. Order has now been restored.

The massacre has been proceeding in Tabriz since Sunday, when 500 were killed, including women and children. Tho people were exhorted not to give tho slightest provocation, but the massacre?; continue, and an official telegram states that the Russian outrages in Tabriz surpass those of the Italians in Tripoli. Houses are entered indiscriminately, and women violated in tho presence of their relatives. Artillery mowed down every living creature in tho streets. Fierce lighting continues, and the Russians are being hard pressed, many having been killed.
