A LAWYER IN TROUBLE.

AUCKLAND, June 21.
At the Supreme Court in Banco this morning, Charles Edward Madden, Bolicitor, was brought up for not complying with a previous order declaring him guilty of contempt of Court. Mr Mahony appeared on behalf of the Law Society, and, formally moved that be be committed to gaol. Madden appeared in charge df a sheriff's officer. Madden said he had no means to pay. His Honor said the order of the court would be that Madden be committed to Mount Eden for one month unless he pay _>25 and various fees. Madden was removed to gaol in charge of a bailiff.
