GLASGOW TRAM STRIKE.
SURVICE SUSPENDED. RIOTING IN. THE CITY. London, August 13. The Glasgow Corporation tramway men have Struct. Strikers detached the trolly wires and smashed a number of cars. Twenty havo bpen arrested. A partial service is maintained. The inspectors and other officials are acting under a police guard. Later. The ■ Glasgow tramway service is entirely suspended. THE POLICE ATTACKED. HUNDREDS OF CARS DAMAGED. (Eec. August 11, 10.40 p.m.) London, August 11. Serious disorders in Glasgow followed a mass meeting of tho tramway strikers. Tho polico and the tramway officials wero attacked, and many persons were injured. The tramway tracks were obstructed with stones, and cars were derailed and their windows smashed. A hundred and fifty cars were damaged.
