NEW ZEALAND POLICY NO OVERSEAS CONTINGENTS MR. NASH'S DINNER SPEECH DUBLIN, July a The Prime Minister of Mire, Mr. do Valera, gave a dinner in honour of the New Zealand Minister of Finance, Mr. Walter Nash, in Dublin Castle. Members of the Cabinet, Mr. J. W. Dulanty. Fire High Commissioner in London, and Mr. W. J.. Jordan, High Commissioner for New Zealand in London, were among those present. Mrs. Nash and Mrs. Jordan accompanied their husbands on their official visit to Dublin. New Zealand was not likely to send an expeditionary force overseas in the event of Britain being involved in war, although she would certainly defend the democratic ideal, said Mr. Nash, in a speech at the dinner. RETURN TO ENGLAND BRITISH AMBASSADOR VISIT TO HIS DOCTORS LONDON, July 3 The British Ambassador to Germany, Sir Nevile Henderson, will fly to London to-morrow, says a message from Berlin. The Times explains that Sir Nevile is returning to consult his doctors. Xo doubt ho will see Mr. Chamberlain and Viscount Halifax, but certainly he has not been summoned to London.

VISIT TO FREE CITY POLES SEE NO OBJECTION LONDON, July It In announcing the visit of the cruiser Koenigsberg to Danzig, a Polish Government communique issued in Warsaw states: "In strict conformity with the Danzig Statute and the Polish right of control over the foreign affairs of Danzig, the Reich Government has informed the Polish Government of the intended visit of the cruiser to Danzig." The communique is regarded as having been issued for the purpose ol stressing Polish control of foreign affairs in Danzig. An Independent Cable Service message from Warsaw says a Polish warship will be despatched to Danzig during the Koenigsberg's visit. In the House of Commons to-day, says a British official wireless message, the Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain, said: "Poland has received from Germany notification of a visit by the cruiser Koenigsberg to Danzig for three days from August 25. Poland is informing the Danzig Senate that she sees no objection to this visit."

NO INTEREST PAYMENTS

BANK OF DANZIG FOREIGNERS' LOANS DANZIG, July 3 The Bank of Danzig announces that it will stop interest payments and amortisation services on all foreign loans to the Free City. Gulden payments to foreign countries will be placed in blocked accounts as in Germany, investors receiving certificates on the Danzig banks for amounts due. Bondholders in tho United States, Britain arid Holland are principally affected. One explanation given is that the port of Danzig no longer brings in the necessary foreign currency. THE DARDANELLES passage for warships PARIS, July 3 Tho French Foreign Minister, M. Bonnet, conferred with the French Ambassador to Turkey and discussed Turkey's plans for the transit of warships through tho Dardanelles in the event of a naval conflict. It is understood that these are completely satisfactory to Britain and France.
