POLAND AND GERMANY INCIDENTS NOW ENDED • (Received May.-24,• 11.6 pm) •-< LONDON, May 24 A message from /Warsaw says the Polish Foreign Office considers liquidated the Kalthof incidents, in which a German crowd set fire to and destroyed a Polish Customs house and later a Danzig citizen, Herr Gruebncr, was fatally shot. The League of Nations High Commissioner in Danzig. Dr. Karl Burckhardt, lias been instructed to return to Danzig and report on the situation to the League. This decision will reassert the League protection of Danzig and is in accord with Poland's wishes. The Independent Cable Service says the Polish Commissioner in Danzig, M. Chodacki, has sent a Note to the Danzig Senate demanding a new Customs house at Kalthof to replace tho wrecked building. Ho has also drawn the attention of tho Senato to the inactivity of the Danzig police during the Kalthof incidents, and has reserved the right to present further demands aimed at securing the safety of Polish Customs houses and officers.
