The NELSON WELTER STEEPLE CHASE of 40 boys, added to a Sweepstakes of 3 sots each. Weights : three years old, lOst lllbs ; four years old, list 7lbs ; five years old, 12st ; six and aged, 12st 71bs. Gentlemen riders. Three miles, over a fair hunting couutry. The FARMERS' AND LICENSED VICTUALLERS' HANDICAP of 30 soys. Entrance, 2 soys each. Two miles. The SUBURBAN STEEPLE-CHASE of 20 soys, added to a Sweepstake of 2 soys each. Nelson Turf Club weights for age. Three miles, over a fair hunting country. The HACK SWEEPSTAKES of one sovereign each. Once round the flat course. Regulations. No person will be permitted to nominate or run a horse which is not the bona fide property of a Subscriber of one guinea to the Race Fund. The decision of the Stewards shall, in all cases, be final. Any person riding a horse over the Steeple-chase Course shall pay a fine of two soys. to the Race Fund, and, in default of payment, shall be excluded from running a horse at the meeting. Any person who has not received money for riding a race will be considered a Gentleman Rider. Any jockey (except in the Hack Race) not appearing in racing costume, will w be fined one guinea. The start for the first race will take place at one, p.m., precisely, and for the other races at an interval of one hour. The bell will ring for saddling a quarter-of-an-hour previous to starting. Entries to be forwarded, under cover, to the Honorary Secretary, at the Bank Hotel, Nelson, stating the ages of the horses and colours of the riders, on or before seven o'clock on the evening of Monday, the 22nd April. The Stakes will be paid at the Bank Hotel, at noon, on the Monday following the races, when all bets and other engagements relating to the meeting must be settled. T.
