NEW ZEALANDER IN U.S. ARMY

O.C. LONDON, December 24. A visitor to London on her first leave here is Mrs. Mary Eaton, formerly Mary Mandeno, of Te Awamutu. Mrs. Eaton is one of the few New Zealand women serving with the American forces. She left her position as dietitian and lecturer at the Johns Hopkins Institute in Baltimore when America entered the war and joined the American army as dietitian to the 56th General Hospital. She is now fulfilling a long-cherished ambition of visiting England. Mrs. Eaton's brothers are both prisoners of war in Germany— Bdr. A. H. Mandeno and Trooper George C. Mandeno.
