GIRDLE GAIETY
IN THE FASHION NOW
The corselet effect is very much hi the fashion just now, and lack of it makes last year's frocks look a little dowdy. It may be achieved without much difficulty by adding a broad belt, pointed in the centre at the front. Suede, felt, American cloth, moire,
taffeta—almost any fairly stiff material may be used. They may be plain, buttoned with a number of small buttons at the centre front, or given serrated edges and a front lacing of cord in a contrasting colour. Many of them are embroidered in bright colours —a peasant touch that is very much in keeping with the style.
