POLISH BROADCAST
BEFORE THE SPEECH
WARMING TO DANZIG
(Received August .11. 11.30 a.m.)
LONDON. August 10 The white-hot anticipation and :
prehension over what. Hen1 Foerster might say tonight was ilhustraied by the unprecedented statement broadcast by all Polish stations in Polish and German: '"It is known that Herr Foerster saw Herr Hitler at Berchtesgaden. We hope that in his speech Fie will bear in mind the words of. Marshal Smigly-Rydz. namely, that Poland knows no peace which means
that one must give and another re ceive."'
Polish circles interpret this as an unmistakable warning to Danzig, which had reported that Herr Foerster might make some proclamation as a result of his visit to Berchtesgaden.
