Altcar ran five furlongs in Imin ssec; Sharpshooter spurted half a mile, and Masterpiece was going better than Madam Madcap at the end ot cix furlongs in Imin 19sec. Laius easily beat Torbelle over a milo in Imin 54sec. Peireno, with a lightweight up, held Orton (H. Gray) safo over six fur'ongs from a practically standing start in Imin IS 3-6 th sec. Formby easily beat Woodhey over five furlong 3 m Imin 6Jsec. Danube (with a light-weight up), Vice-Admiral (H. Gray) and Directoire, broko away at the milo post. Vice-Admiral pulled off at tho homo turn, and Danube had no difficulty in bcatinc Directoire in Imin 47 3-sth sec. again pulling up sound. Equitas (L. Wilson) ran six furlongs in Imin 18sec. Sunburnt (H. Gray) was going better than Bandiera (lightweight tip) over six furlongs in Imin 17 4-3 th sec. Alter breakfast Gold Lace, with tho worst of tho weights, easily beat Effort over half a mile. Icel was too good for Septimus ovor cix furlongs in Imin 23sec. Iranui, with a .big advantage in weights, held Mira safe over six furlongs in Imin 19sec. Genius did a good working gallop, run over a mile. Sea Queen (light-weight up) finished well after going Eeven furlongs in Imin 33 l-sth sec.
