THE CONCLUDING DAY'S RACING. Tho weather was delightfully fmo when racing commenceu at tho Addincton course yesterday, and the track, though slightly holding in places, was in very fair order. Soon after 1 o'clock black clouds commenced to gather in tho nor'-wesr, and shortly afterwards a severe rain squall passed over tho locality. Fortunately, it did not last long, nor waa it sufficient to affect the track to any serious extent, though it prevented, any particularly fast times being recorded. Despite tho unsettled weather, tho attendance waa large, and included a fair sprinkling of Dunedin and West Coast visitors. As on mc previous days, the sport was of an entertaining nature, the Champion Handicap, Trotters' Handicap, and International Handicap in particular, providing excellent finishes. Speculation was again brisk, no less than £15,272 10s being nandled by the totalisator stuff, making a grand total of £44 739 for the meeting, as compared with 10s last year.
