Sweeping Charges Against Nazi Chief In Danzig.
MANY POSTMEN ARRESTED. (Received 2 p.m.) DAXZIG, August 13. Many postmen have been arrested for j distributing a pamphlet accusing Herr' Foerster, Xazi leader, of responsibility for trade stagnation, tradesmen's despair, women's fears, the presence of heavy guns and a strange army, adding that Danzigers have had enough of Herr Hitler's conquest policy. Xazi parades, glorification of "tin god"' party leaders, heavy taxation, espionage stories of a decaying France and a moribund Britain.
"We do not wish to return to Germany, so clear out, Mr. Foerster," the pamphlet states.
CONFLICT IN JAPAN. Section Of Cabinet Against Axis Alliance. ARMY DEMANDS OPPOSED. (Received 1 p.m.) LOXDOX, August 13. The Tokyo representative of the British United Press says conservative members of the Cabinet have formulated counter-proposals aimed to avert a Cabinet crisis over the Army's demand for a military alliance with the Axis Powers. The proposals oppose full military alliance but favour a limited alliance directed primarily against the Soviet.

Regarding the meeting between the German and Italian Foreign Ministers, the evening newspapers cite without additional comment statements in the German and Italian Press to the effect that the meeting is of routine character and is a natural consequence of the Italo-German Alliance.
