FIRM "NO."
BEAR CONSEQUENCES. Poland's Answer To Goebbels' Promise To Danzig. RETURN TO THE REICH. United Press Association. —Copyright LOJCDOX, June 20. A Polish Government spokesman last night said: "To all Dr. Goebbels , talk, Poland says a firm 'No.' She is ready to bear all the consequences of such an answer," states a message from Warsaw. Poland has rejected the Xazi protest against the alleged provocative behaviour of Polish Customs agents, and declares the accusation is unfounded. Dr. Goebbels, Nazi Minister of Propaganda, in a speech recently delivered in Danzig, gave what amounted to a promise from Germany that the Free City would return to the Reich. He urged Germans "to hold on" until that time.
